Because it gives aspiring, undiscovered artists the opportunity to showcase their artistic talents to the world.

For Mitochondria, joining the said tournament gives them yet another chance to give their original songs exposure… “as composing and making their own music… to them is passion.”

However, what they are really aiming at is to spread the word around the Philippines, if not the World, that they are just but one of Iligan City’s local talents.

There are many more of Iligan City’s local music talents that exists, and to mention a few, we have Jenzpeak, Loop (PH), Inburn, and Naethan.

Other Indie bands, and a whole lotta more of artists and musicians in the different genres, are just waiting for the right opportunities, making them in the process, or waiting to be discovered.

All it takes is just a little “Unity and Support!

And talking about support…

The Mitochondria band is thankful that such a huge support came in from one of Iligan City’s Talented Musician, Multi-Instrumentalist, Song Writer, Composer, Music Arranger, Music Teacher, and Proprietor of the Dunamis Music Store, Sir Danny Lazaro Tapang Gillesania by immediately casting a vote for the band at ChannelFix upon learning about “Mito” joining the OPM Tournament.

Enthusiastic support also came from one of Iligan’s long time dedicated promoter of Indie bands since 2008, Sir Jez Timonera Orbe, a good Cinematographer who did work with Iligan’s Loop (PH) on one of their songs Official Music Video entitled “Lite”.

What’s more, Iligan City… The “City of Waterfalls,” is not just home to a number of musical talents but this humble Industrial City of the South is also home of one of the greatest Custom guitar maker and Master luthier in the Philippines, Sir Edgar del Rosario Rabago of the ER Custom Shop.

And local musicians and artists of Iligan City couldn’t be happier to have a renowned Master Builder around.

In addition, there is already a recording studio in Iligan City that’s already making big waves.

Local artists and musicians now are getting closer to fulfilling their dreams of having their original song’s audio recorded and sound like it just came out freshly done from one of them giant Philippine Recording Companies (be covering this in another article, in time).

Or they can have the option to have their original composition’s music video recorded and edited “MTV like“… if they like.

Musicians and Artists of Iligan City got all the tools and resources they need to rise to the occasion now.

May this unity and support for Iliganon’s local music talents continue to flourish like an “overflowing Cornucopia!”

Thank you
