What is Pokemon Go?
It’s a Game
Pokemon Go is a free-to-play, location-based augmented reality game developed by Niantic for iOS, Android, and Apple Watch devices.
It was released in selected countries (including the Philippines) last July 2016, that’s according to en.wikipedia.org.

Pokemon!
It’s like the “Virtual world” spliced with the “Real world.”

Spliced together!
It has become one of the most successful App launched with millions of download.

Pikachu on my dashboard!
It has made Nintendo’s shares skyrocket.
And it took the world by storm as millions got into the Pokemon Go Craze, Pokemon Fever or Pokemania.

Pokemon Fever! Caught the bug!
A Diversion
This fantasy role-playing game makes you go out, walk, jog, run or drive if you have transport. It’s added fun for those used to exercising like walking or jogging, or sore legs for others who just started.
“It’s also a game that get’s one be up and about.”

Be up and about…
If you’re a passenger that’s okay but it shouldn’t be played while driving!
Not because your transport may be a gas guzzler but it is to avoid accidents from happening.

A Passenger…
Even then, a number have been reported that were unfortunate, who failed to see and read “Warning Signs” which led to their untimely departure (from the real world).

Now look where this GPS location thingy has led me to… Hair raising Steep (That’s a long way down to where the heck this place is! Hope my brakes don’t fail me!)
Evil and Bad?
Since its release, a lot of talk over the web came out saying this and that.

Onix! (Hoth Worm)
Many argue that it is “Just a Game” and “Just for fun” while many others have a different point of view.

Magmar – Pokemon O’ Fire!
Do you really have to play the game to find out?

Clefable
Or is the mere thought of the kind of game it is…

Wigglytuff. Quick Move: Pound – Damage = 7, Charge Move: Play Rough – Damage = 55
…is already self-explanatory.

Charmeleon!
“And the answer to this question is… on which side you’re on.”

Voltorb!
If you ask those who play it, they’ll say it’s fun, good and has certain benefits like being able to be entertained, exercise, hangout, meet new friends, a date perhaps.

Fiery!
Others have a different opinion and say exactly the opposite that it’s dangerous, satanic, demonic, and tied to occult.

Gastly!
Sticky situation?

Muk!
Good or bad, whatever it is… We are all entitled to our own opinion and how we perceive things.

Slowbro!
The world is still filled with people who have different attitudes, views, beliefs, outlook, thoughts and standpoint.

Machop!
We still have our differences.

Poliwrath!
Why is this so?

Mankey!
When supposed to be we are all one and the same… Human beings.

Jynx!
We have all been given the freedom of choice, right?

Porygon!
So, Is this the reason why the world still has its differences?

Arbok!
We do have our norms in society as a whole but in spite of that, taking ourselves out of the game and how one looks at it…

Weezing!
We still don’t have peace and harmony in some lands around the world, we still have have war, pain, and suffering.

Blastoise!
And about this game of pocket monsters, that are captured, and evolved to become better and more powerful Monsters that some call “Evil” isn’t really something new.
We do have tons of games that may be dubbed “Violent and/or Evil” like some Shooting Games of the gory and head blowing kind.
Or games that are named or are all about demons like “Doom and Diablo” that came out much earlier.

Arcanine!
But these are just for entertainment right, make-believe.

Snorlax!
So Pokemon Go is just a game.

Sandshrew!
However, another question is, “Who are playing the games?” or shall we say, “How young the minds of the ‘Trainers’ should be?”

Vileplume!
As a number of caring parents worry about the perceived influence and future effects on their kids ,based on how they see the kind of game it is… it is surely a cause for concern.

Like a grinning Undertaker!
So shall Pokemon Go be a game only for grown-ups? …of the mature minds, emotionally mature?

Golduck!
Or will one allow their younglings to play it because their kids want to join in the craze, …for the sake of fun?

Dream Catcher!
Again it brings us back to this fever’s serious bone of contention.

Cubone of Contention
But we must all remember and not to forget that…

Koffing!
Parental Guidance is key in everything.

Lickitung!
And everything starts at home.

Rhyhorn!
“We must do what is right if it’s the right thing to do or We must do what is right because it’s the right thing to do?”

Geodude!
No need to confuse yourself here folks… the difference in conjunction illicit’s more questions but the fact is…
We all have that freedom of choice.

Graveler!
There are many other things out there in this world other than this game’s climate of opinion that we may hear, see or do…

Abra!
That if one isn’t mindful about their own feelings… I quote, “…may slowly make them turn to the dark side.”

Trooper – “That’s no Moon! IT’S A TRAP! Gastly – “I have you now Trooper! You are unwise to lower your defences! Search your feelings… Only at the end do you realise the power of the Dark Side.”
To play this game or not?

Snorlax!
You decide…

Dragonair! (Dragonite youngling)
…as you see fit.

“Monsut? Maybe to Pidgey, ‘Meowth’ is.”
Binging on

Congregation and Feast after Hunting! (Center top: Halang-halang, Bottom right: Kilawin, Far right: Dinuguan, Bottom left: Humba, Far left: Paklay) Pokemon GO = “Yes,” GOuty = “…have a bad feeling about this.” Hyper-Pokemania = “Yes,” Hyperuricemia = “Space travel sound rather perilous.”
